I just bought a fill SLR and have been overwhelmed with the varieties of film out there. I'm sure a lot of film choice is preference and/or experience, however are there any films or brands to stay away from? or that are very nice? What's your take?My personal favorites.... heyy how often should i wax and edge my snowboard Depends on how often you ride and the conditions, Give a day for powder and take a day off for icey conditions. Good rule is if you go 3 or 4 times a week to wax once a week or just simply look for dry white stripes appearing on the bottom of the board. That's a good time to wax the board. Edges also depends on what you ride, If you're hitting the park a lot and doing a lot of jibbing then it would be wise to possibly check the edges for burs after each day riding and simply give it a good rub down with a diamond stone and gummy stone if you feel a lot of burs.every other time you scrap the bottom...wax a littleDepends on conditions and how often you ride. I was driving an audi a4 2.8l 2000, and when i stopped and turned the car off i noticed the right front engine area was smokin considerably. The smell was burnt oil. I hear common master cylinder, wheel bearing, and gasket problems with these cars. Could this be a sign of it?Probably a combination of your Valve Cover Gaskets and Camshaft Adjuster Seals leaking. Very common problem. The Valve Cover Gaskets will leak down onto the exhaust manifold, burning the oil instantly when it comes in contact after its warmed up. I am considering a new tripod. I will be using it for some hiking, some nightime long exposure stuff and occasionally for indoor portraits or still life. I have a "video" tripod now that although very stable is also pretty heavy when your packing it through the woods all day so I want to get something that will fit my needs a little better. HI all. Just a question regarding ISO speed and action photography. If its bright and sunny and im shooting some sports photography what ISO would I pref use? Shooting on a 20D ? Using burst mode (5 frames a second) ? I shot the last ones on ISO 200. Could I use ISO 100 for those? From what I read in the 3.7 feature thread, there are many nice new features coming soon to vBulletin. Personally, I would find thread tags and the new moderation options really useful, but also, the new profile page, social networking system, and gallery system wouldn't really fit on my site. We bought my little cousin (3) one of those FP3 Players made by Fisher Price. It's like an iPod for preschools. I'm trying to make xbmc my default dashboard but when I use the method explained here (http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=As_a_Dashboard) nothing happens...at all. I'm using Avalaunch as my dashboard by the way. So... then I noticed a file called "ava" in the C:\ directory. So I tried the above method again but replacing the .xbe file in the "ava" directory. When I rebooted I got a black screen with red type (can't remember what it said) then at the bottom it said the box was in ftp mode. So I ftp'd everything back to normal and when I rebooted I was left with the original xbox dash (not avalaunch but the ORIGINAL dash)!!! last week, i weighed 175lbs, now i weigh 168lbs. all i did was cut my food intake by nearly half or until i was not really hunger. i always had a problem with overeating and this week, i really cut back. i drank only water and v8 and every lunch, i had a small bowl of green peppers only. for exercise, i only did 100-200 crunches and 50-200 pushups a day. i didnt do any running due to a toe injury. but yeah, is this a healthy diet/routine? thanks. I have an old Sunpack that I bought years ago for my Pentax. The recharge time stinks (though it could just be the batteries I used), as stated it is old, but it was lightly used. Do any of you have any suggestions as to what type of lighting elements to purchase for still life setups? I want to start taking more of these type of photographs. I recently got some proper professional portraiture film (Fuji NPS 160) that has to be kept in the fridge. This is very unfamiliar territory for me, whats the deal with the fridge? If I load the film can I leave it in the camera for a few days between shots or is it best to take all the shots on one day? I was driving an audi a4 2.8l 2000, and when i stopped and turned the car off i noticed the right front engine area was smokin considerably. The smell was burnt oil. HI all. Just a question regarding ISO speed and action photography. If its bright and sunny and im shooting some sports photography what ISO would I pref use? Shooting on a 20D ? Using burst mode (5 frames a second) ? I shot the last ones on ISO 200. Could I use ISO 100 for those? With a red backround. The weird thing is I can see the main index page of the forums. It seems like it's just when I try to view the threads in each forum this happens. last week, i weighed 175lbs, now i weigh 168lbs. all i did was cut my food intake by nearly half or until i was not really hunger. i always had a problem with overeating and this week, i really cut back. i drank only water and v8 and every lunch, i had a small bowl of green peppers only. for exercise, i only did 100-200 crunches and 50-200 pushups a day. i didnt do any running due to a toe injury. but yeah, is this a healthy diet/routine? thanks. In connection to a thread I started in the equipment section, I recently placed an order for a Canon EOS Elan 7NE. In another thread I read a blurb about pop up flash units being less than spectacular, so...... ......If I want to take respectable pictures with a flash, should I be using the Hot Shoe contact and a dedicated flash unit? I have an old Sunpack that I bought years ago for my Pentax. The recharge time stinks (though it could just be the batteries I used), as stated it is old, but it was lightly used. Also, since the dedicated flash unit would ride higher on the camera body, would there be a noticble reduction in red eye? » lighting question...What to buy to start out?
Do any of you have any suggestions as to what type of lighting elements to purchase for still life setups? I want to start taking more of these type of photographs. I have a book I just received on lighting techniques and special effects, but each demonstration looks like its using about $10,000 in lighting, not to mention a studio set-up. I recently got some proper professional portraiture film (Fuji NPS 160) that has to be kept in the fridge. This is very unfamiliar territory for me, whats the deal with the fridge? If I load the film can I leave it in the camera for a few days between shots or is it best to take all the shots on one day? Also once the film is used do I have to stash it back in the fridge before I get chance to take it to be developed? Some tips or pointers would be useful... For some reason a gig of ram is not enough for the vbulletin that I run on it's own server. The memory gets maxed out and apache is crashing on me sometimes two or three times a day. I know I can always buy more ram for the server, but is there any sort of caching features in vb or is there anything that I can tweak to help with this?1gb of memory is not a lot, however have you configured optimized php or mysql since setting the server up?
